date/time

I am considering building or hiring someone from the marketplace to build a time sheet for my business. I have build some sample forms, but the "Date-Time" field seems really hard to use (from the user's perspective). You cannot type or select the time in an intuitive way, and it seems to be in a 24hr format. Is there a good workaround? The date function is fine.
