Deal Info Transferred Back to Linked Contact Following Deal Completion
Hello! I have a real estate brokerage and we find the property for our contacts/clients (I.e. Buyers brokers). This means our leads are received and entered with very little information—phone, email and name typically.
Lead comes in, qualify, convert to a contact and simultaneously create a deal. Then, we take them through the sales process and hopefully find them an apartment. If we do, we record the deal information (e.g. address, monthly rent, commission etc.) for that particular deal. The problem is, without having the property info in the contact, I can't automatically create an invoice in zoho books.On top of that, sometimes we are paid by the contact/client and sometimes we are paid by the property owner. I have been recording the property owners in Accounts and linking their associated leasing representatives saved as contacts. Another way this can be done according to ZOHO is by creating another view for property owners and saving everyone as a contact. But then I have the problem of being required to input a name for landlords that are often represented by their associated companies and hence do not have a last name—smaller issue.
Anyway, I found a thread (link below) that looks like they are performing something somewhat similar in the reverse direction. Wondering if anyone knew if this would be a viable solution—essentially map the deal details back to the contact at the completion of the deal? Basically trying to automate my accounts receivables entirely and not duplicate data entry. Would appreciate any help and if you'd like more clarification on any of the above points, please don't hesitate to ask!
