I have a custom pick list on the Jobs/Potentials pages. It is set with the default value as one of the choices from the list. If you create (or clone) a Job/Potential, that pick list shows the correct default value on the initial setup/edit page. As soon as you hit Save at the top, the pick list reverts back to "none" and doesn't hold the default value.
