Trying to delete custom fields. I select customise > fields > cases

I select the field that I want to delete and text box advising all data for that field will be lost confirm / cancel.

I confirm, get a message saying 'loading', the field list displays again and the deleted field is still there. Desperately need to delete some as requirements changed.
