Delete mail via thunderbird?

Hi, I've setup my zoho email account with mozilla thunderbird but when i delete an email on thunderbird it still remains in my zoho account online. is there a way to fix this?

also when i read an email on thunderbird it remains unread on the zoho website... bit annoying
