Deletion of Attachments within a module

Deletion of Attachments within a module

Hi, Working within a custom module "Discussions" I am finding that users are adding multiple attachments, this is causing a high amount of storage usage in our account - which is needed whilst the record is being worked, is there a possibility that when the "status" of the discussion is set to "Concluded" we have a custom function in place that will delete all related Attachments or a way that whenever an attachment is added to a record it changes it to workdrive?
