Deluge - Changes to the send mail task in Zoho CRM

Hello Enterprise Support Community,

At Zoho, we are committed to continuously enhancing our security standards to ensure a safer and more reliable experience for all users. As part of our ongoing efforts, we are introducing an important update to the send mail Deluge task in Zoho CRM.

What’s Changing?

We will be restricting the use of zoho.adminuserid as the “from” address in the send mail Deluge task.
Moving forward, the “from” address will only accept:

  • zoho.loginuserid, or
  • Any verified email address associated with your account.

If you need additional sender addresses verified, please contact us via your dedicated Enterprise Support email. and we will assist you with the approval process.

When Is This Happening?

This update will take effect on December 20, 2025.

What to Expect?

Once this change is live:

  • The Deluge editor will automatically validate all send mail tasks.
  • For new scripts, using an unsupported sender address will result in an error, and the script will not be saved until corrected.
  • For existing scripts using zoho.adminuserid:
    • They will continue to function normally without interruption.
    • However, if you attempt to edit and save such scripts, the editor will throw an error until the sender address is updated to a supported one.

Why This Change?

This enhancement helps protect users from:

  • Spamming
  • Email spoofing
  • Other security vulnerabilities associated with unverified sender addresses

By ensuring only verified and authorized email addresses are used in Deluge scripts, we enhance overall email security within Zoho CRM.
