Deploy WorkDrive TrueSync in bulk using Group Policy Object (GPO) for Windows OS

Installing WorkDrive TrueSync on each system individually can be a time-consuming and tedious process. Fortunately, we've introduced a new solution to ease your workload.

Now, you can deploy Zoho WorkDrive TrueSync across your entire network at once using Group Policy Object (GPO), reducing setup time and ensuring consistent installation for all users.

Note: Ensure that the network has a Domain-based setup and not a Workgroup setup.

With WorkDrive TrueSync, employees can access and manage files both online and offline, boosting productivity without interruptions. This bulk installation allows system administrators of your organization to install, upgrade, or remove the TrueSync application centrally, providing greater control and flexibility.

Prerequisites

To ensure a smooth deployment, make sure you meet the following requirements:

System requirements: Windows Server 2012 R2 or later.
Supported OS: Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Group Policy Management Console (GPMC): Must be installed and accessible.
Administrative rights: You need administrative privileges in your Active Directory (AD) environment.

Notes:

By default, the GPO you create will be applied to all users within the domain. If you'd like to target specific computers or users, follow the instructions provided in our step-by-step user guide.
If a user in your organization is restricted from using desktop TrueSync via the Admin Console, the app will still install, but they won't be able to log in and use it.
