Difficulty with Zoho Projects and Hours

Hello,

I am brand new to Zoho Projects and evaluating to see if a fit for my company.

We deal in Projects that have many small Tasks that are completed within minutes or hours. Due to the amount of detail of each Project and the number of Projects we engage in at one time, using Templates is absolutely necessary otherwise the time to manually setup a Project and its details would outweigh any efficiency gain benefit from using this application in the first place. Projects for us act as a to-do list but also a checklist to ensure critical steps are not missed or skipped.

I have adjusted in settings the ability to manage duration by hour. However, when setting up each Milestone, I am forced to enter a duration in days (required). It does not allow hours or fractions of a day. Cannot set to zero. So I may have 10 milestones, all of which can be completed within 1 8 hour day, but Zoho Projects forces this to look as if a 10 day Project.

I would have thought I could setup a Template that would contain all of my Milestones and Tasks with each Task having a duration of anywhere between 3 and 30 minutes. Then when said Template is applied to a new Project and a start date is set, it would fill in the start and finish date for all Tasks based on duration. This does not seem possible in this application.

Am I missing something or is Zoho Projects just not a suitable tool for managing entire projects that are completed within a few days?

Zoho Projects now generates a unique number for each project, task, and issue added. The auto-generated ID is a combination of a prefix and a number which is assigned by Zoho Projects. Task Inline Editing Enhancement
Hi All, Today, we have made an enhancement in task inline editing. In 4.0, task edit is moved in a single screen in a pop-up. We designed this in-order to make the task edit across the product to be the same. Let it be in Feeds, Tasks & My Tasks tab, Calendar & My Calendar tab, a click on the task title will open the popup and user can edit the values. Customers pointed us the inline editing was very useful to them & how much they miss that in 4.0. Based on the feedback, we have rolled out this enhancement.
