We are thrilled to announce the release of a new feature in Zia Vision: Duplicate Image Detection. This will help you identify duplicate facial images within a module, enhancing data accuracy in your CRM.
What is Duplicate Image Detection?
Zia Vision now can analyze facial images in your CRM records and identify potential duplicates of the record image. This feature helps maintain data integrity, helping you to reduce possible redundancies in your visual data.
When you access a record with an image, you will notice an icon overlaid on the image. Clicking this icon initiates Zia's duplicate image detection process. If duplicates are found, Zia will display the records containing similar images (up to 10 samples), limited to those you have permission to view.
You can then choose to:
- Upload a new image if the duplicate is valid
- Mark the detection as incorrect to help improve Zia's model
For example, a university's alumni relations department uses Zoho CRM to maintain graduate records. When updating an alumnus's profile with a recent photograph, the database manager clicks the icon. Zia Vision checks the Alumni module and discovers that an identical image exists in two other records from different graduation years. This prompts the manager to investigate whether these are separate individuals who look alike or if there has been an error in record-keeping, ensuring the accuracy of their alumni database for targeted outreach and event invitations.
Another scenario where this feature would come handy is when an event planning company uses Zoho CRM to manage attendee information for large conferences. When reviewing a VIP attendee's profile, the event coordinator clicks the icon on the attendee's photograph. Zia Vision scans the Leads module and finds that the same image exists in three other records. This alerts the coordinator to potential duplicate registrations, allowing them to consolidate the attendee's information and avoid issues like double-booking for special sessions or sending redundant communications.
Remember, in each of these cases:
- The feature does not automatically alert users about duplicate images when creating or updating records.
- It does not automatically merge duplicate records.
- Users must proactively click the icon to initiate the duplicate image check.
This approach gives users control over when to perform duplicate checks, making it a useful tool for data cleanup and verification processes.
