Display Does Not Fit To Screen

When I click on an account, lead, contact, etc.:, the scroll bar goes on forever across the screen. The left margin starts half way across the page, which seems like a total bad use of space. (see attached). I've gone into >setup >template and clicked on "Fit to Screen", but we can't seem to get all of the account information to fit on one page.

Please let us know if there is a correction for editing the margin.
