Displaying notes in Lead reports

Hi, We are relatively new to Zoho and are using it to manage leads.
I am confused re. the 'notes' fields!

We want to be able to run a lead report that includes various details in the results, including the notes against that lead.

There appears however, to be two different kinds of 'notes'?
One is a single field within the lead record that has a maximum number of characters.
The other notes, which show up on the lead summary page (when you first go in to a lead record before you expand the view to see all the record details) allows for lots of entries (rather than just one) and titles to be added which seems to have no limit in characters.

The latter is what we want to pull into the lead report but I only appear to be able to get the former to show up?
Our sales team need to be able to see the history of all the notes against the lead when making calls and we want them to be able to work from the lead reports rather than flicking through each individual lead record - how can I do this?
