At my company we are doing our best to track ROI on marketing activities, but I'm not sure if we are doing it optimally.
Especially we would like to be able to find out if people that register for our free trial (we sell software) have EVER clicked on one of our SoMe ads.
According to Google Analytics almost all of our conversions come from organic searches and 'direct', and when I look at 'Assisted conversions' on Analytics these two are pretty much also the only two sources that are shown.
We believe that a lot of people hear about us via social media and other sources, and then later on go and google us or type in our web address.
Is it technically possible to track over a longer period of time which sites people click on – with or without Zoho? And is it legal?
