Document Collaboration Real Time
Hi there,
I want to edit a Word document in real time with another colleague. Meaning when I change anything in Zoho, he should see in his screen in real time and he should be able to edit and I should see in real time. Real time here meaning immediately.
I have uploaded the file from my laptop into Zoho and perform the following:
- click on share
- enter the email add of my colleague
- my colleague opens his mail and clicks on the link.(He has already registered as a use in Zoho)
- my colleague seems to only have the option of "Download" which opens up in MS Word instead of Zoho. If this is the case, how to I collaborate online in real time ?
- I tried copy and paste into Zoho Writer and then initiate the share steps as above
- when my colleague opens the mail and clicks the link, he is brought to Zoho Writer
- when i change anything in my Zoho Writer, he does not see the changes in real time.in fact he does not see the changes happening at all. do i need to click on save everytime i make changes in order for him to see the changes ?
- another question is when i upload or even copy and paste in Zoho Docs or Zoho Writer, the alignment is not the same as MS Word. Why is this so ?
