Does the Products feature support subscription-payment products?

Does the Products feature support subscription-payment products?

I'm running a SaaS business (the same as ZoHo) and I'm trying to figure out how to create "products" for the different subscriptions we offer. Can I use the Products feature, which seems to only support hard goods or just create a custom field in teh account record to track what subscriptions they are using?
