E-mail alerts not working!

Hi!

One the key features of VO for my business is e-mail alerts for tasks and events but I just do not manage to get it working.

I've working on a solution for hours but don't see where the problem is. I set up SMTP server correctly with client authentication... it just does not work.

Even when I set up a new user, he does not get the welcome/ogin e-mail to logon to VO.

Any tips?
