Apparently the system comes with a Dashboard folder named "Public Dashboards" which contains 7 dashboards as follows:- Lead Dashboard
- Accounts and Contacts Dashboards
- Potential Dashboards
- Campaign Dashboards
- Case and Solutions Dashboard
- Product Dashboards
- Inventory Dashboards
I am looking for a way to do away with some of these dashboards, as they pertain to areas of the system we are not implementing at this time or ever. For all of these Dashboards, Edit and Delete are disabled. Each of these Dashboards as a number of predefined components that also can not be deleted. You can edit the component and associated with a different report, but thats all.
As we are not using the parts of the system associated with these Dashboards and associated reports, what you end up with is a poor user experience because (a) I am seeing a Dashboard that I do not need to be seeing, (b) each component in the Dashboard contains an error message related to permissions to that part of the system.
Overall these Dashboards, especially as they are listed when switching Dashboards, distract from new Dashboards we are creating and need our users to focus on.
I have "chatted" with Zoho and have gotten nowhere. I just can not believe that there is no way of deleting or hiding these unwanted dashboards.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
