Previously, this email was attached to outlook.com using custom email settings. This has been in place for a number of years but a couple of years ago Microsoft stopped allowing custom domains to work with outlook.com mailboxes.
Following a migration of webhosts, some of my custom settings for mail such as MX records etc were wiped and reverted to default, therefore my email stopped working at this date. I have tried several times to get Microsoft to release the settings I need to re-enable email but they refused without passing me onto a very highly priced technical support package to get the info which was previously available.
So I'm looking to move this email address to Zoho.
I have completed the first part of the settings altering the CNAME on my host, however I cannot add the above email (
info@mydomain.com) - I just get an error "Email Address already exists" so cannot proceed.
Can someone advise the steps I need to take to get this successfully transferred? Do I Have to do something first to 'delete' the email account elsewhere in my hosting before
