Email field for accounts

Hi everybody,

I see that in Zoho you cannot associate one or more email addresses to accounts. You need to create a contact in order to save an email address for an account.

In our previous crm we were used to add the company email address to the account record, then create "personal" contacts with their respective email addresses.

What is the common practice in ZohoCRM when you want to save (for example) a generic email address (like info at companyname.com) which does not belong to a real contact? Do you create a dummy contact?

Or would you recommend adding a custom email field to accounts?

In this last case, will I be able to use the list of account addresses for a mail merge or sync them with an external platform (like Mailchimp)?
