Have seen many threads about ZoHo emails going to spam but wanted to share some findings that I did not see discussed so far.
One major issue that might be causing emails to go to spam is using the Email Insights (tracks opened/bounced/clicks etc.) in ZoHo CRM
We have done the following:
- Verified domain
- Verified email address to be used
- Setup DKIM and and SPF information
I tried all combinations:
- Used ZoHo servers to send emails
- Used email relay
- Removed company logo image
- Removed links
- Added "Unsubscribe" link
- Even just send test email with no text or one word of text.
Under all combinations to various emails addresses the emails with Email Insights on would still go to spam, even to the same domain/email address we've specified Zoho to send from.
When Email Insights is off the emails do not go to spam.
Of course, we want to use Email Insights as it's essential we use workflow rules around this but if you don't require, you can try using email relay without this feature and may improve deliverability.
I have a case with ZoHo right now and will update any findings but also wanted to post in case anyone else found a combination of settings with a solution that includes not going to spam with Email Insights on OR has some other workaround.
