So you can allow different departments in an organisation to see only the data that they should see.

I would like to have privacy settings so that departments (in a company) cannot see the emails sent by other departments to the clients.

i.e. I do not want customer helpline advisors to see emails sent to the client by the legal department.

i.e. i do not want junior staff to see emails sent to clients by senior executives.

This is not possible in Zoho.

In Zoho - any user who has permissions to view the client record - can see ALL of the emails that other users have sent to the client via the CRM.

This lack of email privacy will prevent larger organisations using Zoho - or any organisation that has confidential communication with clients (such as attorneys, doctors, financial companies etc).

Can someone from Zoho please think about this and provide an explanation as to why you do not want to offer email privacy settings. I have tried support but they do not understand. They just keep telling me about the email privacy settings in the mail addon option - but this is for emails pulled in to the CRM from your email - I am talking about email privacy for emails sent by users logged onto and using the CRM to send emails (or emails sent by CRM workflow).

Zoho have  built a system with lots and lots of data privacy.access settings to control which tabs, records and fields that a user can see.

Why can you not understand that not every company wants every employee to see ALL of the client email communications.

You really need to think hard about implementing email privacy settings.

I am currently being forced to operate 3 Zoho systems for one company - this is just so that i can keep the email communication between 3 different departments private - but still share access to the main data on the client record. I have to have the 3 systems sync data with each other via API calls. It is hugely complex - but the only way to achieve email privacy with Zoho.
