Hello folks,
We've some updates related to emails in the Accounts and Deals modules.
Running a successful business requires constant communication. In Zoho CRM, the records of contacts, leads, vendors, and other stakeholders are stored in different modules. Many
email capabilities are available within these modules and records. These enable users to send conveniently and receive emails within the CRM interface, while also providing users with immediate access to the context associated with those emails.
What's new?
We've extended email support to the
Vendors module and made a few improvements to existing email capabilities in other modules. Let's look at the changes one by one.
Accounts module
A Send Email button has been added to the Accounts module. Within the email composer, a list of related contacts' email addresses will be available as quick suggestions.
Along with the Send Email functionality, we are looking to allow users to create and maintain attachments and email templates that are specific to the Accounts module. So, when users click the Send Email button, they can access attachments and templates specific to the Accounts module.
However, we have identified that users have historically also maintained contact-specific attachments and templates to be used from within the accounts module, and this possibility will be lost if we completely replace the present behavior. So, when users click the Compose Email button in the email related list in the Accounts module,
- When Emails associated with related contacts option is selected in the email related list, users can access contact-specific attachments and templates.
- In all other cases, users can only access attachments and templates specific to the accounts module.
Deals module
Deals module now has a Send Email button with the email composer having quick suggestions for related contact roles' email addresses.
These enhancements have been released to all users in all DCs.
These enhancements are not available in mobile apps currently.
