Email Templates

When I create an email template, the formatting looks fine. When I send it to a recipient using the mass email option, the entire message is placed on one line. Here is what happens:

Template:
Dear Bob:

Thank you for your interest in our new products. We think you will find them to be just what you need.

Sincerely,

Bob

Actual Email:

Dear Bob: Thank you for your interest in our new products. We think you will find them to be just what you need.Sincerely, Bob

Any idea why the paragraphs are not being maintained? Thanks.
