I have been going back and forth with which app to use for email. Curious of other's preferences and why they like their respective application.
When I signed on with Zoho, the collaboration features were of great interest to me. However, after digging into it, I realized that they are worthless for me since my primary email address isn't hosted by zoho (and can't be moved) and therefore the functionality will not work. With that being said, other than the lag in receiving email, I do like the user interface of both and there are some features I find very useful (labeling, adding tasks to crm directly from email, etc).
I have been using the email tab within CRM the most. Following are some of the problems I have with it:
- The lag in receiving emails is really annoying. I still keep outlook open (for the most part) and receive emails there several minutes before they arrive in zoho. I don't understand how this can't be fixed considering every other email application I have used doesn't have this problem!?!?!
- I don't recall this being a problem when I initially started using Zoho, but recently I have had to refresh my window to get new emails to load. I may have changed a setting, but when I look at my email settings, everything seems to be set correctly?
- When I delete an email from another client (i.e. - outlook), that email still shows up in my zoho mail? This may be an outlook setting?
- you can't add a "case" from an email like you can add a task, event or note
If there are features within the zoho mail application that I am missing, I would love to hear about them. Additionally, if there are other features within the mail tab (in CRM) that you find useful, please let me know!
Any input regarding my "issues" will be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Tripp Miller
