Emails for Leads after conversion

Hello,

I just have a question about what happens to the emails attached to a lead once it is converted. I don't see the emails either on the contact or on the potentials field.

Is there a way that leads converted into contacts & Potentials have their emails carried over into the contacts and potentials record?
