Hi all
We have had cases with clients as well as in our own business where emails sent from Zoho applications and being caught in spam or even quarantined in the receivers email system.
As an example we were having issues with all invoice emails sent from Zoho Books going to spam. As you can imagine this was causing huge issue because we weren't receiving payments for invoices which was effecting cashflow. Estimates also weren't being received so we even lost potential sales!
We couldn't figure out the reason. We contacted Zoho and everything seemed to be correct:
We decided to do some testing by creating a test contact and sending to a gmail account. Sure enough the invoice sent went to spam.
Next we removed the email signature on the invoice email and low and behold.....it arrived in the inbox!
Aha! So it was the signature!! But why was the signature causing this issue?
To get to the bottom of it we removed bits of the signature to find the culprit. The culprit ended up being an affiliate link URL.
So if you are experience a similar issue with emails going to spam sent from Zoho Books or any other Zoho application, first check the 2 dot points above. If all has been set up correctly, before contacting Zoho Support try removing URL links from your email signature then test to see if it still goes to spam.
Hope you find this post helpful and please leave a comment below if it has helped you to resolve a similar email issue.
