I am seeing an issue with the IMAP integration between CRM and Office 365.
If I move an email item from my Outlook inbox to the deleted items folder, the item disappears from Zoho Leads email related list. I move all emails to my deleted items folder and use search to retrieve any I need. I never permanently delete emails.
When the IMAP account is set up, your sent and received emails will be associated to the leads/contacts in Zoho CRM, under the Emails related list.
Repro steps:
1. Create a lead
2. Send an email to yourself from that lead's email address
3. Verify the email appears in CRM and Outlook/Office 365
4. Move the lead email to the deleted items folder
5. Refresh the lead page in CRM
BUG: Email is no longer visible in CRM
To work around this issue, I added a rule in Outlook to auto-forward all of my incoming emails to my Zoho CRM BCC address. I was hoping this would cause a copy of the email from the lead to be permanently stored in Zoho without being impacted by the deleted item in Outlook.
However, these emails are not showing up in Zoho once the email is deleted in Outlook.
How can I avoid having to move all of my incoming emails to a folder other than the deleted items folder?
