Emails not synchronising between Mac Mail and zoho mail online when using IMAP

I have my zoho mail set up on my Macbook Pro. When I delete emails, or file them into folders using Mac Mail, the changes do not reflect online. Mac Mail shows 29 emails in my inbox, but there are over 70 when I log in online.

I am connecting using IMAP. I just deleted the mailbox on my Mac and re-added it (again, using IMAP) as a new mailbox. It synchronised my emails and correctly showed 29 emails in my inbox. Yet online, there are still over 70.

Furthermore, as a test I moved an email I had deleted on my Mac from the Trash folder to the inbox. I then deleted it. But that email is now showing twice in my online inbox.

Is this a bug with the online mail? If not, why do any changes I make on my Mac not reflect in my online inbox?
