I set up email for my domain yesterday and was sending and receiving emails fine. However, today I am only able to send emails and have stopped receiving any??

All my MX records are correct. 

I changed my name servers on my godaddy account yesterday in order to get hosting with host gator. Would this affect my emails at all??
