Emails show my contact email address in the "From" field rather than name or nickname

I need to set up a group email for a residential association.  I used a Gmail email address as my contact email.  Now, when I send an email as a test, it has the email address in the "From" field rather than the name of the residents' association that I have registered in my profile.  Is there any way round this?  The Zoho email address is no use to me if it doesn't actually show the email address that I want to use, rather than the one provided for back-up purposes.
