Enable Sorting by All Fields in Tasks and Issues (Not Just Limited Columns)
Hello Zoho Projects Team,
We hope you are doing well.
We would like to submit a feature request regarding sorting capabilities in Tasks and Issues lists within Zoho Projects.
Current Behavior:
At the moment:
- In the Issues module, sorting is limited to a few predefined fields such as: Severity, Status, Due Date, Created Time
- In the Tasks module, there is currently no sorting capability at all
- While filtering is available, it does not replace the need for sorting
Why this is a problem:
In real workflows, users often need to combine filtering and sorting to analyze data effectively.

For example:
- We filter Issues by a specific Status
- Then we want to sort the filtered results by Assignee
Currently, this is not possible and instead, we are forced to:
- Apply a filter for one Assignee at a time
- Repeatedly change filters to understand workload distribution
This creates:
- Inefficient workflows
- Poor visibility into team workload
- Increased manual effort
- Difficulty managing priorities across multiple users
Filtering and sorting serve different purposes and should work together, not replace each other.
Requested Enhancement:
We kindly request to enable sorting capabilities for all relevant fields in both Tasks and Issues modules.

This should include:
- Ability to sort by any visible column (e.g., Assignee/Owner, Priority, Custom Fields, etc.)
- Sorting applied on filtered results
- Support for ascending/descending sorting
- Consistent behavior across Tasks and Issues
Benefits:
- Better workload visibility across team members
- Faster and more efficient data analysis
- Reduced need for repetitive filtering
- Improved usability and UX consistency
This enhancement would improve day-to-day usability, especially for teams managing large volumes of tasks and issues.

Hi We want to use ZOHO Project for scheduling our technicians. We have maintenance contract with our customers. We schedule interventions on customer sites. So we created projects for each contract and task for interventions. So if a technician need to go to customer I create task and schedule them after depending of availibility.
