In Zoho Projects, the client users can log work hours in timesheets and track the time spent on tasks and issues. This permission can be enabled only by the portal owner or the admin.

For instance, If the administrator wants a client user to add the time log for a particular task, the admin can create a custom client user profile under Profiles --> Manage users and assign it to the client user. The client user will now be able to view, add, edit and delete the timesheet module. However the users assigned to the default client profile will not be able to access the global timesheet. Learn more about timesheet permissions.

This feature is available in the user based Enterprise plan of Zoho Projects.

Hi Priyadharshini J. I'm found this post while trying to find out how I can enable Timesheet access to clients. IE We want to give clients (in general), but specifically Zoho Projects Client Users, access to the timesheet data, notes and ideally timesheet reports to our clients - where you comment here "the admin can create a custom client user profile under Profiles --> Manage users and assign it to the client user" seems be what we need, and we have created a new Client Boss profile to test this but can not find any way to assign an existing Client User the new Client Boss profile we've added?

NB We have created that Client Boss profile and added the View (All) permission for Timesheets but when we edit the existing Client User there is still only the single (default) "Client" User Profile available in the dropdown selector there. I presume that's where we should be able to 'assign' that new profile to the Client User (as your article suggests) but is that not the case? Or have we missed something?

Either way, many thanks in advance but please confirm any further steps needs to assign a new profile (if that is the only way to do it still) for our project clients.

Unfortunately I'm not able to see the timesheet-permission field in my settings. If I want to edit the clients profile, it is permitted. If I add a new client profile, there is no timesheet field. Could you tell my why?

We are unable to manage our contractors by giving them access via Zoho projects as a client user either.  Can you please help?

Same here. There is Timesheet module for my custom client user. What's going on?

Andy, 

The Timesheet module for Client users is supported in the standalone edition of Zoho Projects and Zoho One edition (client user based license). The default Client profile cannot be customized in Zoho Projects. So, in your portal, create a new profile by cloning the default client profile, enable the Timesheet module and assign this profile to the client users. Please try this out and let us know if you need further assistance.

I have followed your instructions above exactly. This is a client profile, cloned from the default client profile. 
This is Projects in Zoho One.

It does not show the Timesheets module in the list. 

It only shows Timesheets in the User Profiles. 

Please can you advise.
