Enhancements in User Administration, Zoho Projects Integration and More!

Here are a few enhancements that you will surely be thrilled about. Read the following updates made in various areas across Zoho CRM including User Administration, Zoho Projects integration, Visitor Tracking and Feeds.

Delete User From Your Zoho CRM Account
Sometimes, you may have to remove one or more users from your Zoho CRM account for different reasons, for instance, when they are quitting your organization. Previously, it was not possible for you to delete a user completely from Zoho CRM. You only had the option of deactivating them. Deactivation only makes the user inactive. If they wanted to join another Zoho CRM account with the same address, it wasn't possible until they were removed from Zoho CRM, for which you had to contact our Support team. This whole process posed an inconvenience.

Well, not anymore. Now if you are the Super Admin (Primary Contact), you can permanently delete a user from your Zoho CRM account. 

When you delete a user, he/she is deleted from your Zoho CRM account only. They can access other Zoho services with the same email address. Unlike in the case of deactivation, they can also join another Zoho CRM account with the same email address.

Zoho Projects Enhancements
Zoho Projects integration just got better with these handful of enhancements!
  • Earlier, in case your portal owner was changed or your ZSC key was regenerated, you had to deactivate Zoho Projects integration and set it up all over again. All your mappings would be lost. But not any more! Now, you can simply update the new ZSC Key and your integration is refreshed. Your mappings are kept intact and you can resume working on your projects from Zoho CRM. 

  • When you associate a call to a project using the Log a Call option in the Records details page of the Contacts/Accounts/Potentials module, you can now add the call as a task under a project or as a comment under an existing task.

  • If you comment from Zoho Projects on a task created originally in Zoho CRM, this comment will be added as a note to the associated contact/account/potential in Zoho CRM.
  • Similar to associating call details to a project, you can create a new task and add it under a project from Zoho CRM.

Visits Tab Made Default
The Visits tab has been made a default tab. If you have not enabled Visitor Tracking, you will see links to training materials that will help you get started with the integration. Enable the integration and enjoy the perks of visitor tracking!

Auto-Follow Rules Can Now be Set By Administrator
As part of retaining the best features of Pulse, we have brought back the administrator's ability to set auto-follow rules for other users in the Feeds module.
