Enhancements in Zoho Projects Integration, Managing Macros, Custom Modules and more!

Here is a bunch of enhancements brought to you by Zoho CRM this November. The updates include enhancements in Zoho Projects integration with Zoho CRM, Zoho PhoneBridge, macros, custom modules and Webhooks configuration. Read on to know more.

Create a Project Group in Zoho CRM

You can now categorize projects in Zoho CRM. While creating a project you can select a group that the project belongs to. You can create a project group from the Projects tab.

The Project Group thus selected also appears in the Zoho Projects related list in a record's details page of the respective account, contact or potential.

Choose Date/Date-time format during Webhooks configuration
Previously Zoho CRM sent data to third-party application for Date and Date Time fields in the following standard format.
Date: yyyy-MM-dd
Date Time: yyyy-MM-dd hh:mm

Now, Zoho CRM allows you to select the desired Date/Date Time format and Time Zone during Webhook param configuration.

Share a macro with fellow users
You can now share a macro that you have created with fellow users in Zoho CRM. Sharing a macro is useful if you would like some of your team members to execute the macro you create on their records. Besides this, macros get a new and improved UI as well.

When you share a macro with other users, even if they originally do not have the permissions in their user profiles to perform the actions listed in the macro, they will be able to execute the macro on records.

Zoho PhoneBridge opened for Zoho CRM Standard Edition
Zoho PhoneBridge, which was previously available only for Enterprise and Professional Editions is now available in the Standard Edition of Zoho CRM as well.

Custom Module Name Field can now be an Auto Number field
So far the name field of a custom module could only be a Text field. Now it can be an Auto Number field as well. Note that this cannot be changed once created.

Existing custom modules cannot have the Auto Number as the default Name field. So a work-around would be to create a new custom module and choose Auto Number as the Name field type and then import the existing records.

Note that this feature is available only in the new module layout editor.
