Error when trying to share spreadsheet

Error when trying to share spreadsheet

When trying to share a spreadsheet with a user outside my own email domain, it tells me the email address is invalid.  This even happens when I try to send to my own private Gmail address, so I know for a fact the email address is fine.  When sharing the same sheet with another user within the same email domain, it works just fine.

Please help?
