Error with Record Sharing in Zoho CRM 2016

Hi Zoho,

A few of our users switched over to Zoho CRM 2016. When they did that, however, they were no longer able to edit records that had a different contact owner. This is editing any field (e.g. phone number, email). The user makes the change thenthey received an Access Denied error message upon trying to save.

The record sharing model is Public, and there has never been a need to restrict records to the owner, especially since participants switch out yearly.

We are able to edit the records as needed in the older version of Zoho CRM, so we've fixed the problem by switching back.
