Event Response Processing

Is there documentation on how/when the event responses (Invited, Going, Maybe) are processed?  Should responses sent from Google calendar display within the participant section of a Zoho CRM event?  From their Google Calendar the organizer can see who's accepted the event but in Zoho CRM only responses from people that have accepted through Zoho CRM are appearing.
