Event TIme Zone

How does one set an event for a different time zone.

I am scheduling events in other time zones and all the times are off.

Ex: I work in CST and I am setting events for travel to PST - all the times show up as CST.

Will they correct themselves when I arrive in that zone?

Please advise a work around
