Hello everyone,
We have renamed "Events" under the Activities module to "Meetings" because in CRM events are predominantly used to conduct meetings for different sales activities.
Overtime, the term "events" has been often misinterpreted as business gatherings like user conferences or hackathons, therefore, to avoid confusion "events" will be displayed as "meetings" under the Activities module.
PS: There will be no change in the functionality of the feature.
Important Dates
Existing accounts: The change would be effective for the existing accounts from 20th July 2020.
New sign-ups: For new sign-ups the replacement was effective from 15th June 2020.
Enhancements to be available in future
We are currently working on enhancing user experience for meeting and some of the updates that you will see in the coming months:
- Option to note down minutes of the meeting
- Provide check-in and check-out to the host
- Provision to reschedule and cancel meetings
