EVM and budget tracking for fixed cost project

Hi Zoho,

My industry almost exclusively works on a fixed-cost basis, and I have custom software for coming up with fees on a per-phase basis.
The budget system that is in place currently is pretty good - I have been entering budget values in to the milestones, as well as on the project as a whole, and I can understand the 'budget' vs 'fixed cost' between the two, although the difference is not apparent at first.
Main problem is when it comes to EVM for these projects - I obviously know what the planned cost value is for each milestone - that is whether the budget figure comes from;  I also know the cost associated with the project through user hourly rates and timesheets - why can't I see these numbers presented as planned vs actual on the EVM widgets?
