Excessive Volume of Spam

I have an odd problem. Within 24 hours of setting up a new email account using my own domain name I started receiving a huge volume of sex oriented spam that appears to be coming from Russia--sex sites, sex toys, etc.- emails are all pretty similar and probably originate in the same place.

That new address is a private email address, given to only about a dozen friends and family.

I am reluctant to create a new email address, as I have changed twice in the past year.

I have no problem with my inbox. Zoho's spam filters are as good as Hotmail or Gmail. So that is not the problem. I just hate having to empty 60-100 spam a day.

Has anybody else had this problem? Any ideas why it is occurring?
