Extending Age in Days to all date and date-time fields!
When it comes to filtering records based on a date field or a date time field, you would usually count back the number of days and enter a specific date in the criteria. This could be quite tiring.
But here’s some good news.
“Age in Days” is an option that allows you to filter records based on the number of days rather than a specific date. This was available only for a record’s Created Time. It has now been extended to all date and date time fields. For example, you can now instruct Zoho CRM to show you the list of potentials that were closed
“within the last 10 days” instead of calculating and mentioning that specific date.
In this case, you will choose
Age in Days <= 10 while specifying criteria to create a custom view.
Assume you are creating the custom view today, 25th September 2014. In that case, Zoho CRM will display all potentials that were closed from
Sept 16th to
Sept to 25th. The results are dynamic, which means that if you check this view the next day, you will see the potentials closed from
September 17th to 26th and so on.
This feature is available across Zoho CRM wherever criteria are based on a date field/date-time field including workflow rules, custom view criteria, list view search and reports. We are sure this would simplify a lot of things for you. Not having to count back days and enter specific days is quite a relief, however small. Do check it out and let us know what you think.
