Hi,
In my application http://www.zohocreator.com/leejordan/elections3/ I have added a numeric field on the Elections form.
When I then use the application and try to add a value in to this field I get the error "1. Failed to Add Data. Error at on submit script. Note: We are working on giving more meaningful error messages on script failures."
Can you have a look at this please?
What I am trying to achieve is some way of adding up the number of records in a certain state. My Election records can be in one of a number of states, Test, Electing, Elected, Commercial. I thought that if I added a count field (which always has a value of 1) and set that to be totalled in the View, then I could define various filters for each value of the Status field so that if you selected that view you would get a total at the bottom of the view that would show you how many records were in that specific state.
This isn't ideal by any means. What I would really like to be able to do is have a summary view for all elections that showed, in one view, how many are in each state. I guess this could be achieved by having a numeric or formula field for each state, ie Elected_Count, Electing_Count etc, which would only be set to 1 if the record had that state, otherwise it would be 0. I could then have some sort of summary view that showed the total for each variable.
