Feature Request: Next step workflow management
I really like the idea of the "Next Step" functionality in the potential module to keep track of the most immediate next step needed when trying to land a client/project, but as currently implemented it leaves a lot to be desired. Currently it is just a blank text entry field, so it has to be manually updated every time a task is changed and you lose all the history every time you do this.
A much better approach would be to have this field be a look-up type field that would pull from the task list related to the Potential. When you mark a task as completed the next step field would automatically pull in the next task in the list. That way you maintain the task history, but still have a single place to look to see what needs to be done next (which helps when running an activity report for all current Potentials.
Any thoughts on this idea, and/or any workarounds to get similar functionality in Zoho today?
