File Menu in Zoho Sheet

With our next update in Zoho Sheet, we will be having the left sidebar closed by default. You will find a new File menu to access and operate on your files. Clicking on File > Open will bring the sidebar, from where you can select a file to open. This is similar to the File menu in Zoho Writer. This change will come into effect in the next 1 week or so.

Benefits:
  1. More space for your spreadsheet editor.
  2. Inching towards having a consistent user experience across Writer, Sheet and Show. 
  3. All file related actions are grouped under the File menu.
A few things you might miss:
  1. You cannot dock the sidebar in place. It will be floating above the editor and will automatically slide out when you open a file. To make it easily accessible, we have provided a shortcut, Ctrl+O, to open a file or to bring the sidebar.
Changes:
  1. New , Import , and Export have been moved from the toolbar to the File menu.
  2. Save , Print , and Close have been added in the File menu. These will also be available on the toolbar as icons.
  3. Save As , Versions , and Tags have been moved from the More Actions menu to the File menu. 
  4. More Actions has been renamed as More .
We will roll out these changes in the next 1 week. This post is for you to prepare yourself for the upcoming change in our user interface.
