Filing into Contact History from inbox - please help!

Has anyone else experienced the change in Zoho when deleting emails from the inbox?
They deny the change and cannot tell me how to resolve the problem.

Up until they told us to change pop server settings, when we deleted an email from the inbox, it filed automatically in the contact history. It no longer does that.

THEIR answer is to leave ALL emails in the inbox, which is stupid and a recipe for missing important ones.

HOW do I now clear my inbox while ensuring emails get filed in contact history?
