Flows searching Zoho CRM for Leads and Contacts

Many of our flows come from forms being filled in but the forms could be filled in by someone who is either a lead or a contact in Zoho CRM. In each of them I search for a lead, if it is not found I search for a contact if it is not found I create a new lead. This works but takes a while to set up on each flow.

I wonder if this can be done on custom function?

I'm generally able to work out how to adapt a function for my needs but I'm not very good at figuring it out. If anyone has any sort of function that fetches data from Zoho CRM, and is willing to share
