Force header/footer to only show after page 1

Force header/footer to only show after page 1

I'm setting up a header for a paper to turn in and I noticed that my header actually shows up on all pages, without the ability to state what page it should start on. I would think it an easy option to set up to add the ability for exclusions on certain pages or page ranges.
