Force Specific Layout for CRM Contacts Portal
Hello:
We're in trial on ZOHO One and looking at the CRM Portal (just for the contacts module).
We have a client layout set up for Contacts that is working well for our internally, but for the portal we don't want to require (make mandatory) some of the fields required in our internal layout (it appears that if a field is required/mandatory in a layout, those fields CANNOT be unchecked (hidden) under the portal field permissions.
So we created a layout specifically for the portal users that did not include some of these required fields.
The problem is, when the contact record is created using our internal layout that layout is RECORDED in the contact record Layout field, and is STILL used in the portal (even though we won't have that layout checked as an option). The layout can be changed on the details to our portal only layout, but what we need is for the portal layout to ALWAYS be used whenever a client utilizes the portal to update their info (or we need to be able to hide required/mandatory fields through the portal field permissions).
Is there a way to accomplish this?
