We've set up a custom form so that users can subscribe to our newsletter. Is there a way to get a status message as to whether the form was successful or not?

At the moment, I notice that the input element with the name returnURL specifies which page the form goes to after it has gone through. However is there an option to pass a URL if the form fails?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
